The club's signature ride through the Skagit Valley in tulip season. Four routes for every ability, open to all cyclists, members and non-members alike.

25 miles

No Sweat

Mostly flat and scenic, through northern Skagit County and around the Samish River, with views of Padilla Bay and the San Juan Islands.

45 miles

Rolling

About 40% flat and 60% rolling hills, with views of Padilla Bay and the San Juan Islands.

65 miles

Metric Century

A challenging, hilly tour of northern Skagit County's hills and valleys, along Padilla Bay and quiet Skagit River valley roads.

100 miles

Century

Scenic and challenging: hills and valleys, Padilla Bay, the Skagit River, and a loop around Fir Island before returning to the start.

All routes start and finish at Bayview Elementary School. Rest stops and support vehicles on every route.

Event details

When: Saturday, May 8, 2027
Start & finish: Bayview Elementary School, Burlington, WA. All routes are loops.
Who can ride: All cyclists and fitness levels. You don't need to be an SBC member.
Fundraiser: Proceeds support the club's advocacy work, trails and community cycling programs.
Safety: Helmets required. Support vehicles on all routes, and rest stops with food and water.

Our rest stops are famous for homemade cookies baked by club members and friends. Pledge a batch and help keep 400 to 600 riders fueled.

Why the Skagit Valley

The Skagit Valley has some of the most beautiful and varied cycling roads in Washington: flat farmland, river valleys, Cascade foothills and views of the San Juan Islands. The Spring Classic shows off the best of it, through tulip fields, small farming communities and quiet rural roads with little traffic.

We need volunteers for rest stops, registration, support vehicles and route marshaling. It's a great way to support the club.
