Enjoy a full day of cycling on Lopez Island. This is a ride for those who like to stop and explore and are not in a rush to get back home. Ferry leaves Anacortes at 9:35 am. (Be in line with your ticket by 9:15 am). Return ferry leaves Lopez at 6:20 pm and arrives in Anacortes at 7 pm. Full route with all stops is about 36 miles with 2000 feet of climbing. We hope to stop at Spencer Spit State Park (short walk to beach) and then take scenic backroads south to Agate Beach Park for a picnic lunch. We will zig zag back to the village of Lopez with a possible stop at Otis Perkins Spit. Bring your own food and snacks as food options are limited, so keep that in mind. Ride pace is 12 to 15 mph (much less going up hills!) with stops for interesting things and to regroup. I do not have an ebike, so hills will take me a bit longer than the ebike crowd. If you miss a turn, I'm not going to chase you down, so be prepared to figure it out on your own. I will have a sign up sheet and a few maps if unable to sign up online.
