While the cat’s away (John Yaeger – our usual Tuesday leader), the mice will play! Tuesday’s ride will start and finish at Birdsview Brewing Company in Hamilton. We’ll start off heading east along the Skagit River, enjoying great views of the river and surrounding farmland. Around the halfway point, we’ll join the Cascade Trail and follow the hard packed gravel into Concrete. We’ll make a brief stop at 5b’s Bakery for anyone who wants a quick coffee or pastry or to use the restroom.
The return trip will follow the Cascade Trail all the way back to the brewery.
We’ll maintain a 12–14 mph pace, and the sweep will ensure no one gets dropped. Riders who cannot maintain this average pace—or who choose to ride faster—will no longer be considered part of the group ride.
Helmets are required. Please carry your emergency contact information on your person or in your pannier. Before we roll out, the ride leader will give a short pre-ride briefing based on the Ride S.M.A.R.T. safety guidelines. The brewery is a great place to grab a burger for anyone who wishes to stick around after the ride.
