LaConner, 2026a Valley Flower Tour, 25.4 mi, 154 ft
About this event
Tuesday, 10am, let’s roll around the flowers.
A few u-turns have been added to include as many of the Skagit Valley’s flower fields as possible.
Truth be told, I’ve not been over on the west side of Mount Vernon for several days so don’t know for a fact that the fields are ready.
But . . .
Judging by the line of cars waiting to exit the freeway at Kincaid Street Saturday morning (lots of cars), I’d say the fields are drawing lots of eyeballs.
Here is the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54529789 Download it to your phone or bike computer.
The route is designed to optimize crowd sourced information compiled by RWGPS. Meaning, the route is hopefully going to pass ALL (I’m going out on a limb here) the fields, both daffodils and tulips.
Feel free to preview the route in RWGPS. As a club member you have free access, it's covered by your dues to Skagit Bicycle Club.
These spring flower rides are a great way to get an intro to Skagit Bicycle Club rides. If you’ve been meaning to get out, now is the time.
Both e-bikes and acoustic are welcome.
Safe bike handling skills are required.
E-bike riders can expect to ride at a pedal bike social pace of 10-14 mph.
Faster riders feel free to pull ahead as a group.
Yes, this is your ride but let’s try to stay on route and be considerate of all other public road users. If you have issues, send me a text or call: John Yaeger, 360.708.6862.
Let’s buddy up and/or look out for each other.
Consider activating Location Sharing in Google Maps or Apple Maps.
Buddy up and make a new friend or rekindle an earlier association with a fellow rider.
Helmets are required. Hi-viz and lights are a good idea. Do you have a club jersey? Great time to strut your stuff.
Sign up for this ride online and complete the release/waiver.
Join the Skagit Bicycle Club to receive notifications of rides and other social events. At $30/individual or $35/family per year it’s tremendous value.
