** Fellow Cyclist Killed on Lake Samish Ride - family seeking help **
On Saturday, July 11, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Cole Hilton suffered fatal injuries along a popular cycling route around Lake Samish. A cyclist was seen on a security camera who may have information. The family is seeking any information that could help determine what happened.

I know that Lake Samish is a very popular route among our club members, and I am hoping that someone might have seen or heard something or perhaps might be able to help identify the cyclist seen by a security camera.
- Another cyclist was seen in the vicinity very near the scene traveling in the same direction at close to the same time. An effort to identify and find this cyclist is ongoing.

"Our family is asking for your help as we continue searching for answers about the death of my husband, Cole Hilton, who suffered fatal injuries while cycling on North Lake Samish Road on Saturday, July 11, 2026.
If you live near either of the areas shown on the attached map and have security cameras, Ring cameras, trail cameras, or dashcam footage, please check your recordings from:
Saturday, July 11, between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
• W Lake Samish Drive & Roy Road
• North Lake Samish Road & E Lake Samish Drive
These two intersections connect to North Lake Samish Road and represent both ends of the area where video footage could help establish an accurate timeline.
We are looking for any vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, or other activity captured during that time. Even if it doesn’t seem important, it could provide a critical piece of information.
