John Yaeger, our faithful Tuesday ride leader is tied up this week so your ride leader will be Jim Houston. We’ll be meeting up at District Brewing, 520 Main St. in Mount Vernon. There’s plenty of parking in the lots south of W. Division and north of W. Gates. The ride is 25.9 miles, essentially flat and in the area west of Mount Vernon.

It’s a little early for tulips, but the daffodils are out in full bloom.

We’ll cross the Skagit River, take some back roads over to the flower areas where we’ll meander and return via McLean Rd.

Both e-bikes and traditional bikes are welcome.

This is a ride, not a race. Come on out for exercise and a breath of fresh air. You know, health benefits and all that.

Safe bike handling skills are required.

E-bike riders can expect to ride at a traditional bike social pace of 10-12 mph.

Faster riders feel free to pull ahead as a group.

If you finish ahead of the main body of riders, please text me when you are safely back at the starting point (Jim Houston, 360-420-4783).

Let’s buddy up and/or look out for each other.

Consider activating Location Sharing in Google Maps or Apple Maps.

Food available at District Brewing and a number of other places after the ride.

On these club rides we don't leave anyone behind.

Helmets are required. Lights and hi-vis a good idea.

Sign up for this ride online and complete the release/waiver.

Join the Skagit Bicycle Club to receive notifications of rides.

Jim
