2023 ANACORTES OPEN STREETS EVENT

(Old Town Anacortes- Commercial Ave- 1st thru 10th Streets)
Always a beautiful day, 2023 ANACORTES OPEN STREETS is the 9th annual event to be held Sunday, August 27 - 11 AM to 3 PM. Old Town Anacortes is closed to traffic so the 2500-3000 Skagit County visitors of all ages and many, many families and kids can enjoy cycling/walking/skateboarding/rollerblading the streets among many exciting exhibits and activities.
SBC is a key participant and supports 9 other exhibits and activities.
-SBC BOOTH-(Located at 5th & Commercial in front of Gere-A-Deli) Promotes the Spring Classic & membership. Additionally, SBC provides “Kids Ped-A-Cab” rides and a SBC KIDS BIKE PARADE @ 1 PM.
WE ENCOURAGE SBC MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS TO JOIN THIS FUN 4 HOURS ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 27 - 11 AM TO 3 PM.
SBC SUPPORTED EXHIBITORS:
-SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL- Kids Bike decorating; Kids bike safety course ; Free bikes for kids to ride
-MT. VERNON PARKS ORG- Info booth for the Little Mountain Bike Skills Park.
-BAKERVIEW BMX- Booth and riders demonstrating BMX biking skills.
-ANACORTES MOUNTAIN BIKE TEAM AND TRAIL RIDERS ASSOCIATION- Skills course for kids with fun jumps and undulations. A favorite with many kids !
-ANACORTES ROBOTICS- The award winning Robotics teams demonstrate their robot entries to the amazement and fun of adults and kids.
-PET PLACE MARKET & “AARF"- They cater to the many pets visitors bring and hold an amazing “PET PARADE” @ 1:30 PM .
-ANACORTES WATERFRONT ALLIANCE AND SEAHAWK SAILING TEAM- Informing visitors of Sailing activities available in Anacortes for adults and families.
-ANACORTES FAMILY CENTER- A wonderful resource for families in need to re-establish themselves as contributing members of their community.
