A FEW MORE SBC VOLUNTEERS FOR ANACORTES OPEN STREETS EVENT
Here is a fun event to represent SBC at the 9th Annual ANACORTES OPEN STREETS, Sunday, August 27, from 11 AM to 3 PM.
This event draws 2500-3000 locals, lots of families with kids, who bike, walk, and skateboard the streets of Old Town Anacortes (SANS CARS!) among interesting exhibits, buskers, Kids Bike Parade, and Pet Parade while socializing among fellow citizens. It is 4 hours of pure enjoyment.(SEE POSTER BELOW). SBC has been a major participant in this event over the past 9 years.
VOLUNTEER FOR AN HOUR AND THEN HAVE FUN AT THE EVENT
SBC seeks A FEW MORE VOLUNTEERS in the following areas:
- -SBC Booth- 2 members/shift to man the booth for a two-hour shift from 11 AM to 1 PM or 1 PM to 3 PM We have volunteers but a few additional are always welcomed!)
-SBC Peda Cab- Pedal kids on short rides up and down the event street. A really fun activity that is very interactive with visitors. (SEE PIC BELOW) 1 more member is needed for a 1-hour shift -2-3 PM
-SBC & Safe Routes to School- Kids Bike Decorating for the 1 PM Kids Bike Parade- Lots of fun. Help kids decorate their bikes. 1 hour shift between 11 AM to 2 PM. A FEW MORE VOLUNTEER APPRECIATED
-Event Take Down: 1-2 Hrs helping other members (3-5 PM).Work with Steve Jahn. A FEW MORE VOLUNTEER APPRECIATED
