Tuesday’s Social Ride will be across the water and on Lopez Island.

We’ll leave from the Washington State Ferry terminal in Anacortes. Meet John and Steve along the pedestrian/bike entrance walkway at the stairs leading to the bathrooms/ticketing office.
It’s suggested to arrive at the ticket office by 9 AM. We’ll need to be on the 9:40 AM ferry, allow for hick-ups and be patient if there is some waiting. Ferry arrives at Lopez at 10:20 AM.
Returning from Lopez, we’ll catch the 4:15 PM ferry and arrive in Anacortes at 4:55 PM. (Next ferry would leave Lopez at 6:20PM and arrive in Anacortes at 7:00PM. ) We should make the 4:15 ferry quite easily, even with a leisurely lunch.
Ferry fares: Adult 19-64, $15.20. Senior 65+, $7.60. Bicycle surcharge, $4.
We will have rolling terrain that adds up to 1800 ft. Nothing long or severe. Few cars and good scenery. Bring water/snacks for “rest stops” along the route and money for lunch afterward at the Lopez Market Deli. Who knows, maybe we’ll find some ice cream!
