The 2014 Jan Selvig ride to Mazama is August 9th and 10th.

This is a ride that you must register for and costs aproximately $135 per person. There are limited spaces available. if after having read this you have decided that you would like to participate email me. (Shaun Bridge) If you have questions or would like to discuss the ride give me a call (360) 854-7926 It's first come first serve and the ride is already half full so do not put off contacting me.

How the ride works:

We meet in Sedro-Woolley at Food Pavillion at 6:00 am. You and your bicycle will be assigned a SAG driver and transported to Marblemount where the ride starts. There will be approximately 4 riders per SAG vehicle

Its a long series of climbs so ride at your own pace, Any SAG can assist you, if you get too far ahead or behind your assigned vehicle, your driver will transfer your lunch and gear to the next SAG. There is water and a ice chest in each vehicle. Do not bring your own cooler as space is limited in the vehicles

Dinner is included in the ride cost and is served at the Mazama country Inn.

In the morning our support cars will begin transportation back to Sedro-Woolley

We are staying at the Mazama Country Inn, Bring a swim suit as there is a hot tub and pool. Rooms are assigned by me. I do my best to put friends and couples in appropriate rooms but in some cases there may be two couples to a room. This means that you may be sharing a room with someone that you do not know. (In the case of singles, women stay with women men with me) This might sound object able now however after 73 miles and 7,500 feet of climbing it will not seem like that big of a deal. SAG drivers and their significant others get the best rooms. The rest of the inn is booked. If you would like to bring your spouse or significant other THEY MUST SAG ! we have no room for extras.

We need SAG drivers If you know of someone who would like to SAG please contact me. SAG drivers get the best rooms stay and eat for free. Fuel is paid for. This is not a difficult job as most of the riders have done this ride before.

SAG drivers must meet the following requirements:

  • Have a drivers license
  • Have a vehicle, preferably large and with the ability to carry bikes
  • A sense of humor.
